This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for purchases of Coloring Book Engine ("the Software") from memengin, S.P., Republic of Korea ("Company", "we", or "our"). Because this is a digital product delivered via license key and download, our policy is based primarily on license activation status.

1. Overview

Coloring Book Engine is a digital software product. Once you activate your license, you gain immediate access to the full digital content. For this reason, refunds are limited after activation, except where required by law or as described below.

We use third-party payment processors or Merchant of Record (MoR) providers to handle payment processing, tax collection, and refund processing. This policy is designed to comply with applicable consumer protection laws and industry standards.

By purchasing the Software, you agree to this Refund Policy and the terms of the applicable payment processor displayed during checkout.

2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee (Pre-Activation)

If you purchase the Software but have not yet activated your license, you may request a full refund within 30 days of the purchase date, no questions asked.

To qualify for a pre-activation refund:

  • Your license must not have been activated on any device
  • The request must be made within 30 days of your purchase date

If approved, the full purchase amount will be refunded to your original payment method, typically within 5-10 business days (timing may vary by payment processor and your financial institution).

3. After License Activation

Once you activate your license, you gain immediate access to the full digital Software. This is considered delivery and consumption of digital content.

Refunds are generally not available after activation, except where required by applicable consumer protection laws or under the specific exceptions listed in Section 4 below.

By activating your license, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are choosing to begin using the digital product immediately upon activation, and
  • You waive any "cooling-off" or withdrawal rights that would otherwise apply to unused digital content under applicable law (where such waiver is permitted).
  • The Software has been delivered to you in full, and you have access to all purchased features.

This policy complies with digital content delivery requirements and consumer protection regulations in the EU, UK, US, and other jurisdictions.

4. Exceptions (Case-by-Case Consideration)

We may consider refunds after activation on a case-by-case basis in limited situations, such as:

4.1 Duplicate Purchases

If you accidentally purchase the same license more than once, we will refund the duplicate transaction(s), regardless of activation status, once the situation is confirmed.

4.2 Technical Issues

If the Software does not function as described on supported systems and our support team is unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable time, we may offer a refund at our discretion.

To help us diagnose the issue, you may be asked to:

  • Provide basic system information and error messages
  • Allow us a reasonable opportunity to troubleshoot and suggest fixes or workarounds

We cannot guarantee refunds for every technical issue (for example, unsupported hardware or environments), but we will act reasonably and in good faith.

5. How to Request a Refund

Once a refund is approved:

Typical timing:

  • Payment processors usually process refunds within several business days.
  • It may take additional time for your bank or payment provider to show the refund on your statement. This timing is outside our control.

7. Subscription Refunds (If Subscriptions Are Offered)

If we offer subscription-based licenses in the future, the following will apply unless replaced by a more specific policy at that time:

7.1 Monthly Subscriptions

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will retain access until the end of the current billing period.
  • As a general rule, partial billing periods are not refunded once started, unless required by law or in special circumstances.

7.2 Annual Subscriptions

  • If you cancel within 30 days of the initial purchase and the license has not been activated, a full refund may be available.
  • After that period, or after activation, refunds are generally not provided, but you will keep access until the end of the paid term, unless we terminate the service for cause.

8. Chargebacks

We strongly encourage you to contact us first before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider.

Many issues (such as duplicate orders, misunderstandings about features, or technical problems) can be resolved quickly through support or a standard refund, without needing a chargeback.

If a chargeback is initiated without contacting us:

  • Your license may be terminated immediately.
  • You may be restricted from making future purchases from us.

We do not add extra penalties or "fees" ourselves, but your bank or payment provider may apply their own rules and fees, which are outside our control.

9. Your Legal Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under:
